My feet would be
really stinky after a day in boots with no socks. In Florida, it was always no socks, no shoes day except in McDonalds.

If the dog's owner
had complied with the leash law and not let the dog run, there would have been no officer thinking a dog was attacking him.
There're lots o' dogs in my neighborhood...
... all o' them in fenced in yards... but that duzn't keep sum o' them gittin' loose once in awhile while their owners are unaware... personally, I stay away frum 'em n' it disturbs me when big dogs are loose with small children around.
I'm sorry for the owner also.
It hurts to lose a dog you really care about.

I had a dog
that was friendly to everyone except people in uniforms. For some reason, he just didn't like uniforms, police, letter carriers, etc.

before I became a cop. He was 16.

Too late...I read thru the posts already...wanted to jump in the mix and at least be halfway in the convo...dog story sad on so many levels but it's a shame that TPD gets dogged out the way it does...pun intended! I don't live in Topeka so I have no opinion on them. It's one of those jobs like the voting...if you didn't do it you don't have no right to say anything.
