Join us for the 32nd Annual Designers’ Showhouse, a fundraiser for ERC Resource & Referral doing business as Child Care Aware® of Northeast & North Central Kansas. The funds raised benefit children by supporting high-quality child care options for families. This year’s house, “Wonderfully Westboro: Showhouse Splendor on Shadow Lane,” is located at 3162 SW Shadow Lane in Topeka. It was recently purchased by Josh and Kimberly Svaty.

The colonial style home, built in 1926, is transformed over a 10-week period. Some of the redesigned areas include a completely remodeled kitchen, master suite and more. Designers and craftsman work to mold the house into the owners’ dream home.

The Showhouse is reopened for tours April 21 through May 13, 2012. While the home is open for the event, the public can tour Wednesday - Thursday (10 a.m. – 7p.m.); Friday (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.); and Saturday – Sunday (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Advance tickets are $9, $10 at the door. Group Tours of eight or more can tour Mondays and Tuesdays (10 a.m. – 7 p.m.) by reservation only, with the house remaining closed to the public. The last tour starts 30 minutes before closing. Children under the age of 8 will not be admitted.

The Showhouse Lunch Room is open during the event on Wednesdays - Fridays (11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), with reservations to 785-357-5171 encouraged. Sweet Dreams Catering is catering the lunches. Their menu includes Sweet Dreams poppy seed salad, chicken salad on a mini croissant and assorted cream tarts.

The Showhouse Boutique is open to all Wednesdays through Sundays during normal Showhouse operating hours. Stop by to shop for jewelry, gifts, baked goods and more!
