7C7R7N7 "Warhawk". Yup it's the spiritual successor to that game. Both seem sort of meh, but fun nonetheless

How many maps are there?
I just wished the FPS in this game was a little smoother. It drops pretty low during intense fights and it's even worse in split screen. I simply find it uncomfortable to play a shooter with such low frame rates.
Lets make something new and original, something people could say 1 day "Man I've seen it first time in Starhawk" lets create capture the flag, or capture the zone....
Devs you are killing us with this kind of crap. I wander whats your selling point guys? Why would anyone buy this unless its some bargain bin offer?
VIP-Jerry Yea, third person shooters where you drop towers from the sky, drive tanks, fly a plane/robot, and use jetpacks are a dime a dozen!
at least the flying seems to be a little more forgiving in this game compared to bf3
JediMaster540 All I ever managed to do with a jet in BF3 was to become a kamikaze. And that was on a good day.
JediMaster540 Yeah, in the beta I was all over the place and for some reason I managed to keep myself from crashing into a mountain and die horribly.

JediMaster540 Are you talking about rift energy? There are structures whose purpose is to produce rift energy. Just need to build more of those, I guess.
Well I really like the concept of building your base.
yeah tribes and battefield does a better job currently unless they can add more flavor to this game

Weapons seem kinda under powered...
JediMaster540 No way...at least not from my experience with the beta. Plenty of weapons can kill you fast, like the shotgun, rockets, and knife.

I was in the beta and found the game a bit boring. But i did like the way the hawks transform.
I'm not a fan of MP shooters because I tend to suck at them, but this game looks fun. I don't care if I suck at a game as long as I have fun. Absolutely DID NOT have fun with Battlefield 3. Would you guys recommend this game in my case?
BarkingSpider81 I'm in the same boat, I tend to feel a bit slow when I play a lot of stuff; BF3 and MW3 especially. With Starhawk (and Warhawk before it) you can play a defensive role and feel like a really valuable part of the team. Makes it a lot of fun. Community tends to be pretty friendly too
jwhdavison Thanks, it's always better to play with a great community. It just makes the game more enjoyable. Now the only problem I have is finding the time to play this with Diablo being released in a week. That's a good problem to have though I guess.
I know Chris' review will be up later today. That might give you more info that will help you make up your mind. :)
I'm gonna be playing a lot of Zone, just like I did in Warhawk.
I played a ton of capture the flag in Warhawk. So much fun.
thewolf619 I really enjoyed it. Was always a pretty friendly environment too - very different vibe than a lot of other MP shooters

jwhdavison Nice. I'll be picking up my preorder from Gamestop after work. The only reason I preordered there was to get map packs for free. Now it turns out they are all free anyway. Can't complain, though.
