Want to know why there aren't any Capcom characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Well, it seems that Nintendo was still a bit pissed to see Capcom go multi-platform with the (originally) Gamecube-exclusive Resident Evil 4

Several insiders tell us that Nintendo was apparently still upset about GameCube exclusive Resident Evil 4 going multi-platform, and thus, decided not to include Capcom characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl during development.

If this is really the case, you can understand why Nintendo has always had a big appeal towards kids... they're childish themselves! (ok, that wasn't such a great joke...)
