Topeka City Councilman John Alcala has reason to be incensed that the Topeka Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s board members may have violated the Kansas Open Meetings Act, and the city council acted properly Tuesday when it voted to seek a legal ruling on the issue.
The Capital-Journal, too, is a firm believer in KOMA and an advocate of enforcing the act’s provisions.
