About FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam

FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam has been promoting Southeast Asian software industries and cooperation with Europe through innovative collaboration on FOSS and business development since 2006. Up to 2009 the programme has brought together more than 50 IT companies from Vietnam and Europe for matchmaking and twinning. About 100 FOSS companies and organizations are registered in the online network at www.foss-bridge.org. FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam has successfully prepared more than 20 Vietnamese IT-intermediaries and IT-SMEs to spread key knowledge on how to make business based on FOSS. FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam is an ASIA-Invest Programme implemented by InWEnt – Capacity Building International of Germany, Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (INRIA) of France and the Institute of Information Technology (IOIT) of Vietnam with financial support by the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

What FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam offers:

• to European and Vietnamese IT companies -- twinning between Europe and Asia
  FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam organizes dedicated matchmaking and twinning for your FOSS-company, which brings you together with selected small to medium IT-enterprises (SMEs) from the other country/region. Your developers/FOSS experts have the opportunity to collaborate on joint software projects, thereby boosting the sharing of technological know-how, the exchange of best practices and development of joint business.   FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam offers training and information on technical regulations to intermediary and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the field of FOSS in Vietnam. The focus lies on establishing innovative business models for Vietnam, providing crucial knowledge on regulations and requirements to access the European marketplace. Find Vietnamese FOSS promoters and advocates, who can support you in spreading key knowledge on how to raise awareness for FOSS and create a business based on Open Source.   FOSS Bridge EU-Vietnam fosters collaboration on FOSS between Vietnamese and European companies through the use of virtual networks. This system contributes to a sustainable FOSS ecosystem involving multiple stakeholders and networks from Europe and Asia. The project gives network partners the opportunity to involve their members in exclusive twinning and networking activities.
