Plans are underway, for this year's jewel of the Sherlockian calendar to put Sherlock Holmes' Victorian world on a collision course with the science-fantasy found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, thus creating the world of Sherlockian Steampunk.
     What is Steampunk you ask?
Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used--usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England--but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date.
Captain Nemo, Miguelito Loveless, Professor Challenger and Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen each have ties to Steampunk.
What this means to you is to let your imagination be your guide.  Be creative and have fun.  The sky or even outer and inner space is the limit.
