The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team Convenes in Florida

The U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team has convened for a week-long camp at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. U.S. Director of Scouting Tony Lepore has called 36 players into camp, which began Sunday, Dec. 11, and lasts until Dec. 18.

CHICAGO (Dec. 12, 2011) – The U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team has convened for a week-long camp at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. U.S. Director of Scouting Tony Lepore has called 36 players into camp, which began Sunday, Dec. 11, and lasts until Dec. 18.

Of the 36 players, 23 are returning from the previous camp held in October at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Also returning are assistant coaches Richie Williams, head coach of the U.S. U-18 Men’s National Team, PA Classics head coach Steve Klein, and FC Dallas Academy head coach Oscar Pareja.

Nineteen players hail from clubs that are members of the Development Academy and 12 are members of their Academy team. The New York Red Bulls send five players to the camp, while Minnesota Thunder, San Jose Earthquakes and Players Development Academy send two players each. Only six players on the roster have not previously attended a U.S. Soccer Training Center.
