Actors, filmmakers and festival-goers gathered this evening at Fort Collins’ Bas Bleu Theatre to close the 2010 TriMedia Film Festival and to find out which entries festival jurors and audiences had chosen for awards. Audience favorites were tallied throughout the three-day festival and were recognized with audience choice awards. In addition to the jury and audience choice awards, the TriMedia Film Festival announced Sigourney Weaver as its first-annual Trailblazer Award winner. The Trailblazer Award recognizes an individual whose contributions are making an impact in the industry; who has shown leadership in advancing the arts; or who charts an innovative path through unexplored territory and encourages and blazes a trail for others.
