1Namco’s colourful tidying game is an obsessive-compulsive cleaner’s dream, but its smart design gives to the world far more than it removes.
It took IO four attempts, but when the Hitman series' strengths finally hit critical mass, the difference was profound.
It transformed a series apparently in its death throes, but Capcom's horror isn't entirely forward thinking.

Tomonobu Itagaki has revealed that he almost quit the industry after an incomplete build of Dead Or Alive 2 was released for PlayStation 2 without his permission. Speaking at last week's Dice Summit in Las Vegas, reported by Joystiq, Itagaki explained that the PlayStation 2 port of Dead Or Alive 2 was behind schedule and unlikely to make its intended release date when a sales manager came to him and asked to borrow a copy of the incomplete build, on which the team had only spent two and a half months. Toshihiro Nagoshi, producer of the PlayStation exclusive Yakuza series, has revealed to Eurogamer that Microsoft turned down the opportunity to have the first game in the series on Xbox. In fact, Sony originally did as well. "At the beginning of the project we spoke to all the platform holders including Sony and Microsoft," he told Eurogamer. "Every platform holder was negative about this prospect, but we kept on pushing because we believed in the potential, and as we kept going the one platform holder that showed interest and saw the prospects of this title was Sony. That's how we started working with them, and that's probably not going to change." Sega announced in June that it had shipped five million copies of games in the series since the first Yakuza was released for PS2 in 2005.

1Sega confirms that it has shipped more than five million copies of the series since the first Yakuza made its debut for PlayStation 2 in 2005. Shipments of Yakuza Of The End, the zombie spinoff that was finally released in Japan two weeks ago after Sega chose to delay its March release following the March earthquake and tsunami, have already passed 400,000 units.
