| Music Rising is an initiative to replace the instruments and gear Gulf Coast musicians lost to the storms and flooding caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Launched in November 2005 by U2's The Edge, Gibson Guitars, and producer Bob Ezrin, Music Rising has given new equipment to more than 2,000 musicians, schools and churches.
