"Sounds Digital" is a release from European computer game musician Allister Brimble, whose music here definitely deserves a wide audience.

Highlights include "Drifting To Heaven", which combines a sweeping digital orchestral sound with a softer, more melodic touch (as does "Thesmorphoria"). "Voyager" takes the listener to the far reaches of the galaxy, while "Creation" has a much more grounded, acoustical flavor. And as one might expect, "Project X" is a ripping good slice of techno. "Magnetic Drops" is just, well, incredibly catchy.

Sounds Digital touches a lot of bases and hits them all. Perhaps the most noteworthy thing about the songs is that they stay with you after you stop listening. I look forward to more gamemusic-related CDs from Mr. Brimble. C'mon Allister, how about some "Lost Vikings"?
