For my last CDJ special request order, I decided to pick up a couple Super Sweep albums since I haven't gotten anything from them in awhile, and Eschatos was one of the ones I picked. It's by Yousuke Yasui with one arrangement by none another than Ryo Yonemitsu, and it's pretty damn great. If you like classic video game style prog rock and fusion, you will not be disappointed. I've already rated Eschatos as my favorite release of 2011 (so far) and I continue to enjoy the imperturbable compositions and arrangements, some of which invoke memories of Ys IV.

Well hot damn - this sound track is excellent - and the Yonemitsu arrangement almost brought tears of joy - seriously why isn't he doing more music - he's still around, love it, and the other tracks on this are great....excellent video game music!

OH my! I've been listening to Ryo's Ys IV Perfect Collections albums the past few days and to hear THIS THAT HE DID NOW IN 2011! HOLY CRAP! THIS TRACK IS INCREDIBLE!

Eschatos is a great shooter, and I already knew I loved the music (especially how it segues from one stage into the next), but I knew nothing of this soundtrack until now. Thank you sir, you've given me a new quest.

Where has this guy been? He just came out of nowhere and did this one track? I wonder how it came about.
I've been playing Ys Seven and they should REALLY come out with a Perfect Collection album arranged by Ryo! It would be perfect for him!

No kidding, I'd be curious to hear why he has been so low key, anyone here have a away to contact Ryo for an interview? Ive only seen one from around when Ys IV soundtracks were released, and a very unexpected picture of the man himself included (guess he's an older gent by now)
