FSUE SRPE Bazalt is Russia’s leading manufacturer of all kinds of unguided aerial bombs, mortar shells projectiles of all types and calibers, antitank grenade launchers and antisaboteur grenade launcher systems, hand offensive and defensive grenades. FSUE SRPE Bazalt has merged into Russian Technologies State Corporation. The priority measures of the enterprise: fundamental improvement of financial and economic performance, as well as unconditional fulfillment of obligations concerning government's defence order and export contracts, further development of military-technical cooperation with foreign countries, clear-cut ascendancy of politico-military positions of Russian Federation in different regions of the world, stabilize the military potential of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and defensive capacity of Motherland.

FSUE "SRPE "Bazalt" is one if the oldest defense enterprises in Russia. Its history begins with the opening of Repair workshops for heavy and siege ordnance (“Mastjazhart”) on March 22 in 1916. Workers and soldiers called back form the front lines repaired the ordnance weapons. In a year there were 3500 people working at “Mastjazhart”, repair workshops turned into a universal plant where the workers were assembling field howitzer, repairing damaged weapons brought back from the front, and producing military equipment.

In recognition of successful fulfillment of government assignments for new kinds of ammunition development the enterprise was among the first to be awarded in April 1944 with the Order of Lenin. A large team of designers, technicians and workers received government prizes. Over 700 specialists of the Enterprise were awarded with orders and medals, over 73 specialists won Lenin and State Prizes during the enterprise’s existence; a range of employees were given the Council of Ministers prizes in the domain of science and technology, the Government of Russian Federation prizes, All-Union Lenin Communist Youth League prizes.
