The "British Week" Culture Festival in Havana is underway in the Cuban capital until June 10, sponsored by the British Embassy and the city’s Historian Office.

The Camagüey Ballet –Cuba’s second most important ballet company- wound up a successful season of its version of The Flames of Paris at Havana’s Mella Theater over the weekend.

The film Pa negre by director Villaronga opened the New Millennium Spanish Film Festival in Havana, including the screening of the European country’s most recent 11 full length movies.

Cuban pianist, composer and jazz musician Chucho Valdes and his band The Afrocuban Messengers won the Special Award at the 2012 International Cubadisco Fair with his record Chucho´s Steps.
