Penang MIC chief Subbaiyah dies

BUTTERWORTH: State MIC chairman Datuk P.K. Subbaiyah (pix) passed away at his home in Taman Meranti, Bagan Ajam here on Wednesday.
Subbaiyah, 63, is believed to have suffered a heart attack and died in his sleep at about 5.30am.
He leaves behind wife Vallini, daughter Gowri and son Ganesh.
Subbaiyah was a two-term state executive council member and Penang MIC chairman since May 2009. He was made senator in April last year.
The funeral will be held at 10am at No 7, Lrg Meranti 7, Tmn Meranti, Bagan Ajam on Thursday.
