This is a great game at a great price for a console currently gasping gravely for games. If your Wii is still plugged into a TV-like device, Rhythm Heaven Fever is a game that demands your attention.

This is the most polished game in the Rhythm Heaven series, a series already so well constructed that it has the ability to consume lives. It's occasionally frustrating, frequently hilarious, decidedly beautiful, and monumentally fun. If you own a Wii you need to own this game. Pull it out next time you have friends over; I guarantee it will be more fun than any "party" game, even for those not playing.

If you enjoyed Rhythm Heaven for the DS, Rhythm Heaven Fever is more of the same. The music is memorable, the style is outrageous and the 50 mini-games are addictively fun. The downside is that it hasn't seen any true evolution since its first installment on the GBA.

  1. Can't we have a review that doesn't mention money. How about it will make you laugh and dance at the same time. Do other games even strive for such greatness or do they go for the cheap thrills? It's a difficult game though so make sure you are ready to be shown your rhythm ineptitude. Expand

It's an incredible sequel to the DS game with simple buttons (no motion controls) allowing you to show true skill and not blame the controls for anything. Very funny, and a steal at the $29 MSRP price tag. Buy this if you like innovative and fresh new ideas from Nintendo. Expand

  3. I haven't played such an entertaining Wii game such as this in a long time. I wasn't even sure if I was going to even give the game a try since I played both previous iterations in Japanese and didn't like the English dubbing to the Rhythm Tengoku Gold (Which was simply called Rhythm Heaven in North America). The team behind Rhythm Heaven Fever (Minna no Rhythm Tengoku in Japan); however, did an incredible job of bringing it to the Western audience with impeccable translations and great dubbing to the songs with lyrics. I've got to admit that this 3rd iteration of Rhythm Tengoku was far easier than the first two and took me around 6 hours to complete all 50 main games with each one taking me only one try if not three (except for Love Rap 2 (12+ tries) and the very last remix (5th try) where some of the songs from the original took me 20-30 tries. So those who've played the first one on GBA or the 2nd one on NDS may have a significantly easier time on this one for the Wii, BUT it is still a whole lot of fun. More genres of music are experimented and lots of hilarious shenanigans is bound to happen as the players tap along with the music and laugh their way through the end. Anyone who likes music (and who doesn't like music?) should definitely give the game a try; you'd be surprised how fun pressing two buttons can be.
