Averys have had a retail presence in Bristol since 1793. Today you will find us at 9 Culver Street in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from our original premises on Park Street.
Open 6 days a week, our historic cellars, with ample parking for customers, is blessed with magnificent vaulted ceilings that once housed our bottling line and blending tanks. We offer a comprehensive range of wines including many fine and rare vintages. The most coveted bottles are kept under lock and key in what we affectionately refer to as "The Cage".
Do come and see us. Our knowledgeable staff would be happy to show you around and offer advice for all your drinking needs.
Open 10-7 Monday to Saturday. Closed Sundays and bank holidays.
All our current offers are available through the cellars. Not only will you save a delivery charge but you can also taste many wines before you buy!

Hire the cellars
If you would like to hire our cellars for your own event / party, please let us know.
Private tastings for 20-70 people: £25 per head will get you Champagne on arrival, bread, cheese and pate and a chance to learn and explore the world of wine focusing on an area of your choice or with a blind tasting competition. Option of upgrading the wines for £5 extra per person.
Sit-down dinner: £65 per head for a three course dinner cooked on the premises by McBaile Catering with a brief introduction on wine tasting and specially selected wines to match each course.

Six week introduction to wine course
24th Jan - 28th February 2012 - Tuesday evenings at the Averys Bristol Cellars
Learn about wine in a practical way by sampling 36 wines 'blind' - developing your senses and analytical skills as you go, over a fun, relaxed and informative six weeks.
We'll teach you how to taste wine like the professionals, what the differences are between the major grape varieties, how to read labels and select wine, food & wine matching, how to spot faults and more...
