Letter: Vote for Obama

Posted: April 10, 2012 - 8:11pm

Republican candidates believe health care should belong to the insurance companies. The Republicans believe that birth control can’t be available to all women. The Republicans believe that unemployment insurance, Medicare, the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act and environmental control are illegal.

They seem to believe we should have religion crammed down our throats and enforced by the government. The GOP is the Upside Down Party, the Trickle Down Party.

This country was based upon everybody chipping in for the greater good. Republicans, including Mitt Romeney, Rick Santorum and Gov. Sam Brownback, think the normal person should take directions from Republicans. That means the rich, the healthy and mainly male Republican voters should tell everybody else what to do.

We must vote for Obama and the Democrats if we are ever going to get rid of these people.

RICHARD ADAMS,

Kansas City, Mo.

Richard

can you honestly say you are better off than you were 3 and a half years ago ? Obama is a joke. He is worst than Jimmy Carter.Every woman can get birth control from the Goverment anyway.I'm tired of the Obama and liberial PROPAGANDA. This country is in debt big time and we will be lucky to ever balance the budget. It,s not a money problem it's a spending problem , but apparently this administration doesn't get it.It Is Time For Real Change.

Tax The Rich

I would agree we need to tax the rich a bit more. However, the additional tax revenue derived from the rich will not pay for all the programs desired by Mr. Adams and the liberals. Massive cuts in government largess is on the way.

Weaning the masses from the government teet will not come easy. Witness the debacle in Greece, and closer to home, Wisconsin citizens howling with greed at the thought of paying just a small share of their own way.

Fidogump

Who would

Who in their right mind would vote for rommney a guy that is against women's rights, a guy who wants to give more tax breaks to the rich and a guy who doesn't care about the middle class? Vote for him and you'll repeat your stupid vote for the [filtered word] we have running kansas.

Richard, you need therapy.

Richard, you need therapy. Seriously, your head has been so pumped up with propaganda you don't know which end is which.

At this point, it doesn't really matter who is president. There are too many government entitlements and no political force to stop deficit spending. The annual budget deficit is nearing 2 trillion dollars and the federal debt will likely double in less than 10 years. At some point the US government credit rating will tank and the cheap money that funds the spending will cease. There won't be enough money to keep the government solvent and the whole thing collapses worldwide. What happens next is anybody's guess but be sure to take your happy pills and enjoy the ride while it lasts. Obama, Romney Donald Duck at this point it just doesn't matter.

scarecrow

There were too many government entitlements before Obama was elected. Now it's a problem?

Earth to bassman1 ...

3 and a half years ago the country was going over the cliff.

evidently you suffer with some sort of a memory issue.

but look it up.

you don't want to show your behind like this.

My use of quotation marks can signal either actual quoting or satirical paraphrasing.

Reader beware.

Consider the source (considering the source, after all, is the point of satire).

Republican voters believe in personal responsibility

But are against Obamacare requiring employees to buy health insurance. Which would give the employee personal responsibility paying for their own healthcare.

That's what happens when your hatred clouds your mind. you don't think straight.

I take it you are on Goverment assistance. I guess it doesn't matter to you that this country is heading for a dictatorship with this clown as a president. We are losing our rights of freedom EVERYDAY. So vote for this guy again and we all will be on welfare.

sonofbettysventilator

well Obama's Heart is in the right place

But his hands are in the wrong pockets

scarecrow

Maybe we should all gather in a circle and sing kum ba ya.

Seriously, we all need therapy. The media, political propaganda and now endless blogs spewing garbage has everyone's head all screwed up. No one is paying attention to what really matters.

But whatever you do, don't vote for Obama. He is a jerk who has only made things worse.

I have owned my own business for 37 years and the last 3 years have been the WORST EVER. Again
like I say a Vote for Obama is a vote for Communism. Maybe if you had to to make a living on your own, instead of off someone who pays high taxes and now has to pay more % into YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY THAN YOU maybe you would open your eyes and reallysee whats going on. Get an education.

sonofbettysventilator

HOW'S that health Care premium doing?

WHOOO! HOOO!

SAVING A MOUNTAIN OF MONEY!

sonofbettysventilator

You think i'm on government assistance? Senility is a MF'er. Get help soon.

Oh yea, you could use some welfare and come back to reality from that high and mighty attitude that was instilled in your brain growing up.

When you retire, please don't apply for S.S. benefits. You don't deserve it.

sonofbettysventilator

Believe me! If I payed into it,,

I Deserve it. so Does Bassman.

sonofbettysventilator

FDR SAID SO!.

: )

sonofbettysventilator

But of course,, thanks to Obama,

We aren't paying as much,, you know,, Obama's favor to us in the form of
OBAMA"S TAX CUT!

Oh WELL! Obama will let someone Else deal with that
WAY IN THE FUTURE!

XstaticX

sonof

Your heroes (GOP) want to eliminate S.S. and your'e willing to walk beside them until it's eliminated. So, why do you think you deserve it again?

You want the benefits, BUT you want to eliminate S.S. because your heroes want too.

Have you ever tried to think for yourself?

sonofbettysventilator

Apparently you don't see that OBAMA HIMSELF is causing the

demise of Social Security as we speak..
Oh and remember he cut Half a trillion from Medicare..
Grandma,,, You can thank OBAMA!

sonofbettysventilator

NOT!

.

sonofbettysventilator

Richard,,

You know what? I pay into unemployment on myself ,but since I own the business I can not collect a penny if I don't have any work. At the rate this goverment is going I will never retire until I drop dead By the way I started working at 12 years old with my Dad who taught me to work for what you get ,don't rely on others to give you anything. I am now 60 and still going strong.Sorry to bust your bubble.Enjoy the working mans money, By the way I do have help and they come to work everyday and work hard and get payed well. My only atitude is to work hard and take care of my family

CrimeDawg

back at you bassman1

Get an education? I did get an education. I have a doctorate degree. How about you?

I am and have been self employed (and a "job creator" in the sense that I pay others who help me). Nobody pays into social security for me. I do not get a government paycheck.

I guess you are one of those "personal responsibility" guys who can't take responsibility for the failure of their own business.

God Damns Marxist Medical Takeover

High Catholic officials are beginning to announce that any compliance, cooperation, or participation in the Marxist medical takeover is a sin. That means that, should the new highly offensive federal regulations be enforced next year, Catholics will shut down or sell out all their medical facilities, and eliminate all medical insurance coverage for employees, including self insurance as well as government-provided insurance.
Pro-life Protestant organizations will also follow.

I'll bet you need a Boost from God every morning,,

You know, just to get ya through the day HuH?

Topeka has it right. How

Topeka has it right. How exactly are we going to pay for all the current entitlement promises, including all of GWB new spending programs, as well as all the new spending the obama wants. The numbers don't lie. There isn't enough "rich" money to pay for it all even if you take all of their income. Greece, spain, italy, basically most of Europe, have tried the very same programs and they are going broke, or already are. This is exactly what happens when a country becomes addicted to entitlements. Eventually the money runs out, and you find out you gave away your freedom for a fleeting sense of security.

If you want to raise taxes on anyone, fine. But only if you bind tax increases to spending cuts. Its going to take a combination of both to fix the problem, but if you increase taxes permanently, politicians will never come up with any future spending cuts, and then your in worse shape than you were before.
