Obamas host Easter egg roll at White House

Help

US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle have hosted thousands of children and their parents at the White House's annual Easter egg roll.

More than 30,000 people attended the event which featured storytelling, games and cooking demonstrations as well as the traditional rolling of eggs with long-handled wooden spoons.

The president helped children in the egg rolling race, played basketball and even performed a few push-ups when other people sank a shot.

The White House issued free tickets to the event through a lottery system.
