To be fair, I think a lot of this projects success has to do with avaris joining because he's on so many other projects and he offered to help run it very early. That probably helped draw in some initial people.

I think any project from any noob can succeed as long as you find someone more well known to help you get it going. You never know who might've had the same idea for a project. Get at least 3-4 people interested and on it before you even make a thread, srsly.

Thanks Fishy!

To be honest if any noobs were looking to start projects I can give you an honest opinion about what it takes to run one, from the point of view of being someone not too established in the community. Honestly it's damn near impossible. You should at least hang around the forums for 6-12 months and prob have a mix posted. It took 3 years to complete this project. I had previous professional experience as a Conference and Meeting planner prior to my participation in this project. I was already familiar and comfortable with the "grunt" work required to run a project over the long haul. This and what fishy said helped tremendously.

But anywho if anyone wants advice just PM me!

P.S. Yuh damn right Brad! Good luck on ur recital dude!!!

I hate to break it to you, but he's right. Until you have some level of notoriety around here, organizing a remix project is ill-advised, if not impossible. Besides which ...

Unless you've already done that, chances are this thread will be locked down anyway. Don't get me wrong, a Xenogears remix project has plenty of potential, but unless you've gone through all the proper channels, it just isn't going to happen. If you haven't already, familiarize yourself with OCR's Site Project Guidelines.

Good luck.

Approval to create a thread in ReQuests is no longer required. It's only creating a bottleneck.
I made sure to check that thread before i made this one. But thanks for the advice.

Yeah uhhh... I read page 1 where they were saying this project is impossible and won't be done. Then I noticed there's 61 pages. Sorry for my laziness but I don't feel like reading the next 60 pages. Is this project alive and working or not? I'd appreciate if someone could leave me some kind of portable message in my User CP. ^_^

Thank you

Well, just take a look at the tracklist. To me, this seems something more "possible" than "impossible". It's a real shame that this project wasn't trusted enough right from the beginning.
