The Moscow Circus, located on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, was Moscow’s only circus between 1926 and 1971. Today, it still remains the city’s most popular. On October 20, 1880, the day of the first performance, the circus had only five rows, a dress circle, several wooden benches for second places and a standing gallery. The building has been reconstructed several times since then.
