glad i'm not the only one who thinks this is a sham! take the review for what it's worth, in this case it's listening to kevin whine for a few minutes without even talking about any pros of the game (in essence a horribly done review). if a review is done badly, don't assume the game is bad until you actually play it.

From now on I am just gonna do the opposite of anything Kevin says, I bought this game and i love it, I bought too human which he blasted as well and guess what, I loved it, still like to plug it in once in a while.

I played this game for about 30-40 minutes, took it back and got a refund. It's absolutely horrendous.

I find Ammo rationing makes a game more satisfying and awarding Resident Evil always done that! Automatic cover is positive point that makes it more easy to play and fluent I encourage more Cover features in games, Gears of War is a good example. Perhaps even smoother and more Close combat features in games such as when a zombie holds you, you can do more than just shake off. Get some God of War and Darkness combat moves in there.

And you Kevin VanOrd moan like a Woman! PLEASE conserve yourself untill the end of the video then Kevin you can have your a little obnoxious moan in the Overall conclusion. Be more reasonable -- when you find a good or bad Feature and explain How and why. Can't believe you compared Resident Evil to basic Left 4 Dead

It can be coincidence but Kevin Van Ord gave Lost planet 2 (another capcom shooter) a low score, he saids that it was one of the most exasperating single player experience he have ever play (clearly he just doesn't know how to play it) BUT yet he likes Darksouls that is a very frustrasting game (don't misunderstand me,i like Darksouls), so it seems that he has no taste,no patiente and no skills for playing shooters ,he let that his own anger and frustration take the direction of his reviews,as i said when lost planet 2 came out ,he is a good reviewer but gamespot shouldn't let him review this kind of games, he should makes reviews of the genres where he is good at like rpg and strategic games,REMEMBER GAMESPOT HE IS A RPG LOVER,keep him away from shooters.

good review concentrating on the flaws only lol...
no seriously, this is an excellent game. it looks really sweet and has a lot of interesting gameplay mechanics. every teammember got a set of abilities from which most are quite useful (e.g. four-eyes can manipulate freakin' tyrants into beating each other which is quite the fun to watch), u can move while shooting, melee, execute enemies, take zombies as 'living' shield, get infected and turn into a zombie urself, u can bleed which makes all nearby zombies swarm u and lots of other stuff. and yes u can dodge a charging hunter (even if the review says u can't), simply press the L3 (analog stick) move it into the direction u wanna dodge and press X (ps3). u can do that to all sides which can be really helpful at times. the score is not really fair, i'd give it a 7-8, but that's me. at last i gotta add that from all the resident evil games (i played 1-5) this one captures the feeling of being in a zombieinfested city the best, since u often really do get swarmed and have zombies all around u which does a lot for feeling panic and terror.
    so yeah, nice game!

I'm usually pretty good about watching a game being played and determining whether it's good or bad. I was especially curious about this one because visually it's a stunner and it looks like fun, but 4.5(?) This entire review is trash. The narrator is QQing the ENTIRE TIME. Stop. Get some skill ya wimp.

on the harder difficulties you actually have to work as a team and use your class abilities to get through the campaign, it's a very compelling experience if you look past any minor faults you may come across. seriously there are no bugs in this game that will halt your progress or eliminate the atmosphere of this game! there are tons of other games that are way more buggy/glitchy than this one and don't even have good gameplay or narrative to make up for it...the story is top notch with a very interesting side of the RE story told. the only thing i was a bit disappointed with was the ending, but there are multiple ones so perhaps the other one will please me

its funny so many games have ridiculous amount of glitches (skyrim anyone??) yet they get decent scores despite them. as long as your playing with real people, the game's a blast! i haven't run into any glitches that have halted my progress in the game or really removed me from the experience. I tried playing campaign with AI once, and it was pretty retarded but once I started playing with people, I found where the strength of this game lies. too dark? TURN UP THE BRIGHTNESS ON UR TV/GAME...too easy? turn up the difficulty to veteran or pro!! i didn't even try normal i started veteran and it was a challenging and tense experience, after i beat it i started all over on pro difficulty since i was having so much fun. the one thing i learned from this game is to not always trust gamespot with their reviews cuz in the end it's just one guys opinion that has been deciding what games i buy and don't buy. if you were excited for this game before it came out, you won't be dissappointed! i bought the game before the review came out, and once i saw the GS score my heart dropped, but i was very surprised after playing it myself! GS is great, but they were a bit harsh on this game, perhaps because they've been giving mediocore games decent scores they felt they had to be harsher with this one? kevin's been my favorite reviewer since he started, but i guess i can't agree with him forever knowhadimeen?

Why does Gamespot continue to let people that obviously have no idea what they're talking about review games? This guy's been around for a long time too, so it's even worse. Scarcity of ammunition has been a traditional Resident Evil trait since the first game. This review is full of ignorant contradictions. How do you complain that the game is too much like L4D and say it should borrow more from L4D more at the same time? That's pretending that either argument is valid in the first place, they're both wrong.

Looks more like resident evil 4/5 mercenary missions + metal gear online than anything even vaguely resembling L4D.

Gears of Resident Evil? Who wants to play as umbrella scum anyway? As if I didn't feel dirty enough playing through LA Noire....next we will have Rainbow 6 patriots...alot of games coming out where you play as the pigs.

I just don't know.... The game looks ok, I am somewhat interested in it. I am growing tired of trusting reviews. At this point, it seems like both Gamespot and IGN do not speak for me. I'll probably give this game a try either way. I liked Jericho quite a bit and Gamespot hated that... Many other games lately have my scratching my head when I read Gamespot's reviews. Serious Sam for instance was frickin awesome, yet Gamespot pi$$ed all over it in their review. MW3, which was god awful, got a great review so... I don't know. At this point I watch these reviews to see gameplay. For the record... I don't particularly like RE4 or 5, however I like the new 3DS RE game quite a bit.
