The cost of living in Spain is comparable to the rest of Western Europe. Alcohol and tobacco are still almost half the price of other European countries and fresh fruit and vegetables are generally cheaper, as are meat, fish and poultry but clothes, shoes and electrical goods are slightly more expensive. The cost depends mostly on whether you buy imported or locally produced goods. Generally you should expect to budget for everyday living costs on the same basis as in other EURO countries. But you have to take in count, that Barcelona is the 56th most expensive city in the world, so you need to be careful where and how you spend your money.

ACCOMMODATION
UIC's Student Services is happy to provide UIC students and parents with information on various housing options.
University dormitories and residence halls are autonomous establishments and independently manage their fees, availability, schedules, services, activities, etc. Their offices will provide application forms, practical details and other information.

The Housing Services service also provides students who have been accepted with information about flats and rooms to rent, although acts in a purely intermediary role. Availability fluctuates with the supply and demand dynamics of the housing market at the time of the request. All services provided to students by property agencies and housing management companies are operated completely independently of the UIC.

For more information, visit UIC's accommodation page.
