Location: Aalborg, Denmark. The Academy of Professional Higher Education NOEA - Institute of Applied Management was established in 1999, in Aalborg. From January 2009 NOEA will be part of the University College Northern Denmark, which has more than 700 full-time students and even larger number of part-time students.
NOEA is a training institution offering pragmatic and professional academic programmes to students who want quick access to a business career. NOEA is mostly focused on higher education programmes which the student concludes with an Academy Profession degree. An Academy Profession (AP) degree is an undergraduate academic degree that is recognized by The Danish Ministry of Education as internationally recognized through the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). This comprehensive two-year curriculum is similar to the first two years of a 3-year Bachelor degree.

NOEA has a lot partner universities where you can obtain a full Bachelor degree with 1-1,5 years of top-up study. Possibilities to continue studies after NOEA are available here. International Office provides practical support to life in Aalborg. The students and career counselors are there all time to help you, if life gets difficult for you or you need to talk to someone or good advice. From NOEA staff and student unions and buddies a number of social events are arranged. Students studying at NOEA can take Danish language courses through the Municipality Aalborg.
FEES and FINANCES
NO tuition fee on any programme for EU/EEA and Nordic students.
DEPOSIT All applicants have to pay a deposit of 280€. More information about the deposit in menu Expenses. ACCOMMODATION NOEA is doing its best to help international students make their stay in Aalborg beneficial and comfortable. Keeping that in mind, school is offering accommodation at the Student Hostel of Aalborg Technical College to those, who applies for it. However, there are might not be rooms for everyone at the hostel, therefore it is according to a ”first come first get principle”. Study-bedroom at the hostel costs DKK 1 995,- per month. Initial payment to Landlord is comprised of monthly payment and deposit (equivalent to monthly payment). Students should expect to pay a deposit for renting a place, which they will get back at the end of renting provided that the place has been kept in good condition. Some places students are also requested to pay at least the first month’s rent. Therefore do count on extra expenses the first month to get settled. NOEA also co-operates with AAB College which is the professional sports club in town, where most Danes as foreigners on a professional sports contract are living. However, can not guarantee the number of rooms, since AAB-college looks after their own students first, which means, that the students attending AAB-college have first choice to the rooms. The price for a double room is DKK 3.500 per person per month.There is a "Contract fee" at DKK 2.000, similar to a deposit; however, this contract fee is NOT refundable as they paint after each person move out.

The academy takes its pride in offering 24-hour access opportunities, up-to-date IT equipment and a professional library that subscribes to a number of academic and business databases. Danish design is dominating the building constructions, the light, the interior and furniture making the whole environment very friendly, light and inspiring.
