Anglia Ruskin University is a large, modern university located in Cambridge & Chelmsford in the East of England region, close to London, providing higher education for over 28.000 students. Anglia Ruskin University inholds Anglia Law School, Cambridge School of Art and Ashcroft Business School. Being a truly international University - more than 20% of all full-time undergraduate students come from abroad.

University offers courses from undergraduate and professional qualifications through to postgraduate and research degrees. You have a number of choices when it comes to selecting the level of qualification you want to achieve.

Anglia Ruskin University’s campuses are located in the centre of the city and have everything you would expect of a well-resourced, modern university. There are lecture halls, seminar rooms, laboratories and studios equipped for teaching a wide range of degree courses. In addition there is a library, a theatre, a medical centre, a nursery for childcare and a new self-service restaurant. A major investment program has added new student facilities and information points, purpose-built music study and performance facilities, art studios, and a high-tech Language Centre. Both Cambridge and Chelmsford have a gym/fitness room. 

ImageANGLIA LAW SCHOOL

The Law School is located within the Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Sciences, with over 500 students studying law courses in a variety of modes across two campuses: Cambridge and Chelmsford. The Law School at Chelmsford has now moved to new premises on the Rivermead campus, providing students with state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities and incorporating a mock court room. The School prides itself on providing a vibrant, stimulating, friendly and sociable environment in which to embark on a first University experience or to progress to higher level studies. 

Anglia Law School is well known for its innovative teaching methods. Staff having a wealth of experience, both professional and academic, which enables the school to offer a very extensive range of modules. Much of the Law School's reputation is founded upon the success of the students.

The Anglia Law School has participated at national and local level in competitions in mooting, client interviewing, negotiation and debating. Over the years the School has enjoyed considerable success in these competitions, winning them on several occasions.

All courses offer a wide range of modules in your chosen discipline and also give you the opportunity to choose modules in other subjects e.g. languages, Computing and Business Studies.

CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL OF ARTImage

Cambridge School of Art offers a range of specialist art and design degrees within a modular system, allowing students with a defined specialism in one area to take optional modules in others. Each Pathway offers a specialised core programme and is concerned with the individual development of the student, within the context of their chosen area. The majority of modules are studio based, working to project briefs set by specialist lecturers. Student project work is reviewed and explored through a supportive programme of group critiques and discussion.

ASCHCROFT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SCHOOL

AIBS is one of the largest Business Schools in the east of England with over 80 full-time teaching staff, about 3.000 students and a range of awards suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students, who wish to follow their studies by full or part-time mode.

Studying business is challenging and exciting. You will learn to balance numbers with human values; to be creative in finding solutions to problems; understand big corporations, small family firms, and the role of entrepreneurship; consider the relationship between businesses, the community and the environment.

Administrative staff in the AIBS provides a professional, friendly and efficient service supporting all the programmes and activities of the School. Based on both campuses - Cambridge&Chelmsford, teams of administrators work closely with students, academic colleagues and University Central Units.

FEES and FINANCES

All students studying in a UK university are expected to pay tuition fees. Every EU student on a Bachelor course will be liable for £3225 for each year of the course, payable at the end of the course. There is also a great bursary system - each qualifying student gets £1500 cash back during their full-time undergraduate degree course.

Some courses include field trips, where all or part of the cost must be paid by the student. Text books can be expensive, but many of those on your reading list can be found in the University Library, or the local public library.

Anglia Ruskin University has a generous financial support scheme for all students who make satisfactory academic progress. All UK and EU students will receive a fixed sum in each year of study to help with the cost of studying. Information about Sholarship please read HERE.

The UK Government does offer maintenance grants and loans to students from low income families to help them with living costs. UK Government maintenance grants, loans and bursaries are only available to those EU nationals.There is no financial support available for EU postgraduate students from the UK Government.

ImageACCOMMODATION

Anglia Ruskin University has a wide choice of University managed accommodation. The University manages rooms in traditional halls, modern en-suite rooms, and shared flats and houses. All University managed accommodation is located on, or very close to campuses. The accommodation is therefore also within walking distance of the town centres. The University is able to accommodate the majority of new, first year students. The cost per room for University-managed accommodation ranges from £2500 to £4300 per year, depending on room size, quality and location.

We recommend that you apply for accommodation as soon as you have accepted an offer to study at Anglia Ruskin, in order to secure your first choice of accommodation.

The University operates its own Employment Bureau that can help you to find regular employment either on campus or in town. This service is free to all students.
