ImageAarhus Technical College offers higher education in the fields of technology. The college has a great cooperation network both at local and international level. This helps to ensure the topicality and high quality of the education. With three main campuses, comprehensive education and training programmes, the college is a very noticeable part of Aarhus.

ATC was founded in 1828 and is one of the largest vocational education and training institutions in Denmark. Like all other Danish vocational colleges, ATC is a self-governing, non-profit institution with a long tradition of involving the social partners at all levels of management and training provision. ATC is financed through a per student state grant system and through revenues from short term labour market courses.

ImageThe College has an international study environment with students from more than 25 different countries. The teaching faculty have been chosen on the principle that they were experts in their fields. Learning process is based on contemporary leadership theories and teamwork. Academic studies alternate with practical work and case studies. The students take part in practical training and prepare their final projects in different companies around the world. The Danish Professional Higher Education Programmes are governmentally and internationally approved, awarding ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System). Furthermore, the programmes are recognized by highly innovative, creative and professional level in the use of technology and IT.

The following  programmes are taught in English:

Multimedia Design and Communication The programme qualifies you for planning, managing and implementing multimedia productions with emphasis on graphic design and visual communication. The multimedia designer combines the technical aspect with the creative and communicative aspect.

Building Technician / Constructing Architect The programme qualifies you within design, planning and implementation of construction projects. Furthermore, the study course provides you with competences for managing construction activities within construction technology.

Chemical and Biotechnical Science The programme qualifies you for product development and quality management. The Chemical and Biotechnical Analyst is trained for working in chemistry and biotechnology laboratories in manufacturing enterprises as well as in the universities.

IT and Electronics Engineering The programme qualifies you for product development, planning and the operation of systems in the field of computer technology and electronics. The course study trains you for system planning, design, analysis, test and implementation of hardware and software as well as consultancy services and project management.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation in Aarhus is hard to find, so be prepared for long lists and waiting. We advise you to book a place to live right after you have concluded the agreement with the school. Accommodation in Aarhus can be found through a special company called Kollegiekontoret in their dormitories, or in privately-owned flats. For more information visit Kollegiekontoret. Usually, the rent for a single room ranges from 1,400 to 3,000 DKK per month. The rent has to be paid in advance, at the beginning of each month.
