We package beer brewed in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and Italy and despatch world wide, including to the USA and Australia. Our A grade BRC accreditation provides our customers with reassurance of our quality standards.
Packaging
We have the facilities at our Unicorn Packaging Centre (UPC) to receive beer ‘ready to bottle’ or straight from fermentation for cold conditioning, processing, filtration and carbonation. Our tanks vary in size, holding from 50 barrels to 340 barrels- our minimum bottling run size is 50 barrels. In addition to handling beer for bottling we mix several soft drinks on site and all bottles are pasteurised.
Flexibility in packaging means we are able to accommodate over 20+ different glass bottles, plus a wide range of labelling options. 500ml bottles are most popular, although other sizes are available between 125ml and 750ml. Our customers benefit from our adaptability- we already fill and label several bespoke bottles to create unique packaging solutions.
Our state of the art bottling line can pack bottles into cardboard trays and shrink wrap, boxes and multipack sleeves. Bottles are filled with either a crown cork or aluminium screw cap, with a range of coloured crowns and screw caps available. 3 labelling machines allow us to apply a simple wet glue wraparound body label, wet glue patch labels to the front, back and neck of a bottle or plastic pressure sensitive labels to the front, back and neck of a bottle. As well as packaging for around 40 contract customers, producing more than 250 SKUs, we also store many of these onsite in our warehousing facility. In addition to the bottling line, we have a keg filling line and a cask racking line, all of which are available for contract packaging. Our beer collection service is available within UK mainland and we travel as far south as Cornwall and north to Scotland to collect beer. Our road tanker fleet enable us to transport 50, 120, 150 and 180 barrels, including split compartment tankers with 60 and 120 barrels capacity.
We proudly package beer for several leading breweries and well respected retailers, as well as producing and packaging a range of well-known premium soft drinks along with some growing brands.
First Class Facility
We provide a first class packaging facility which caters not only for the larger volume products but also especially for 'niche' products that require very close attention and care.
Based at Stockport, some seven miles South of Manchester, we are at the heart of Britain's motorway system. Both brewery and packaging plants are within 1/2 mile of the motorway (M60, Manchester orbital), giving easy access to trunk motorway networks across the North, South, East and West.
