Players getting axed left and right in Indy. About the only thing the #Colts haven't done is trade Johnny Unitas again. #NFL

If the reports are accurate -- the #Redskins gave up 3 No. 1s and a No. 2 for the 2nd pick (and RG3) -- the deal is George Allenesque. #NFL

#Redskins gave up a bundle, but remember: They haven't drafted a QB who was a long-term, high-quality answer for them since Baugh.

Baugh was drafted in 1937, the franchise's first year in Washington. Every 75 years, the #Redskins should probably do something like this.

Allen was never very fond of draft choices. Considered them "pieces of paper," Charley Casserly once said. Currency. #Redskins#NFL

Don't forget, George traded 2 No. 1s and a No. 2 for Dave Butz. Butz was a fine DT, but a QB can make much more of an impact. #Redskins #NFL

The #Redskins also gave up a No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 for Brad Johnson in 1999, after Trent Green left in free agency. #NFL

And the #Redskins sent a No. 1 to the Dolphins for Joe Theismann, who had gone to the CFL to play. Joe was originally a 4th-rounder. #NFL

With no first-rounders for a while, the #Redskins will have that much more money to burn in free agency. #NFL

One of the great things about this deal is that the #Redskins and #Rams will meet this season in St. Louis (again). Should be fun. #NFL

From the #Redskins' standpoint, I believe this is known as paying the piper. Never should have gotten themselves in this mess, but . . .

My problem with the whole the-#Redskins-were-colluded-against argument is this: The #NFL was built on collusion. . . .
