The National Capital Authority advises Lake Burley Griffin is now open to all uses.  Parts of the lake have been closed following sewage contamination on 1 March.

Water quality results indicate bacteria levels across the whole lake are now within safe parameters for both primary and secondary contact.

A draft policy to guide outdoor lighting works in the designated areas of the National Capital has been released for public comment. It will apply to new installations and the renewal of outdoor lighting.
