BioWare is at PAX East to show gamers what’s in store with two free DLC offerings that are coming soon. Players can join the fight to save the galaxy with the first multiplayer downloadable content pack for Mass Effect 3. Available to download for owners of Mass Effect 3 for no additional charge, the Mass Effect 3: Resurgence Pack adds two new maps to the game’s critically acclaimed cooperative multiplayer experience, along with a variety of new playable characters, new weapons and new items that can be unlocked by acquiring reinforcement packs in the game’s multiplayer store. The Mass Effect 3: Resurgence Pack will be available for download on April 10 on Xbox LIVE, the Origin client software and PlayStation Network in North America, and PlayStation Network in Europe on April 11.

(Reuters) - Even as he teed off on Thursday at the famed Masters tournament, Tiger Woods could rest assured he had plenty of practice behind him -- not only on the course but with his new videogame, too. EA Sports' golf simulation game, "Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Golf 13," was unveiled this week for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players. Augusta National golf course in Georgia where the Masters takes place is featured in the game, along with many others such as Bay Hill, TPC Sawgrass and St. Andrews.

When it comes to shooters, no game delivers as unique a look and as many weapons as Gearbox Studios’ Borderlands 2. 2K Games is readying the sequel for release later this year. The original game showcased a very different look for an Unreal Engine 3 shooter. And this follow-up continues to push the visuals, while adding more customization for gamers to use when building weapons. Gearbox Studios’ Wes Parker talks about the new game in the exclusive video interview below.

EA Sports unveiled the first Madden NFL 13 screenshot showcasing new Nike uniforms. The EA Sports development team was granted early access to the new designs of the NFL uniforms and used this insight to meticulously recreate the Nike clothing in Madden NFL 13. Nike signed a five-year exclusive deal with the NFL, which brings Reebok's reign as official clothing manufacturer to an end in real life and in videogames.

Logging more than 16 million votes nationwide to date, the fans have determined which eight NFL athletes will advance in the Madden NFL 13 Cover Vote competition. Stars like Cam Newton, a 1st seed, and Victor Cruz, a 2nd seed, continue to dominate their competition and have their eyes set on advancing to the tournament’s semifinals. Electronic Arts, 38 Studios, and Big Huge Games are further expanding Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning with Teeth of Naros. In the second downloadable content (DLC) pack for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, players will journey through a forgotten land called the Teeth of Naros, a harsh environment named after an ancient troll god. In this new journey players will encounter the Kollossae, a devout race of giants, and uncover the mysteries of their faith. Teeth of Naros will be available starting on April 17, 2012 on Xbox Live for 800 points and PlayStation Network, Origin and Steam for $9.99.

When we first caught a glimpse of Borderlands 2 last year at PAX Prime, Gearbox Software promised nothing but bigger and better for the first-person shooter, with bigger environments, more enemies and a new class of soldiers to replace the old ones.  This past month, 2K Games invited us out to take the game through a road test, just to show us that Gearbox was indeed a company of its word.  Not that we ever doubted them, but, hey, we jumped.
