Miami Heat 2012 NBA All-Star LeBron James has been having a career year during the strike-shortened season. With 66 games crammed into a short schedule, James hasn’t been able to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as much as he’d like. The King talks videogames in this exclusive interview from Orlando.

As good a distraction as Transformers: Dark of the Moon was on Xbox 360 and PS3 last year, it just didn’t measure up to the monstrosity that came out a year before, the boldly original War For Cybertron.  Featuring a great new storyline, thrilling action and strong multiplayer, the game was a must for fans of Hasbro’s long-running franchise.  High Moon Studios recognizes this, and recently invited us down to Las Vegas to get a first glimpse at the upcoming sequel, Fall of Cybertron, which is introducing some bigger players into the picture – literally.

With sequels, more often than not you see developers stick to the same old strategy.  But there are some who push for a change, like a new lead character or a storyline that expands on what the original provided.  Darksiders II, a game slated for release this summer, immediately comes to mind, and with that, so should Prototype 2, the follow-up to Activision’s crazy open-world action/adventure.  Radical Entertainment is just about ready to unleash this long awaited follow-up to the public, and we got a close look at what to expect.

Over the years, Activision has turned to Hollywood actors to add another dimension to the on-screen action in the Modern Warfare campaigns. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Barry Pepper (True Grit) and Will Arnett (“Up All Night”) were among the recognizable names who contributed to the game. With Modern Warfare 3’s record haul as the biggest game of 2011, one reason the game continues to succeed is because of the acting and storytelling.

Consoles and PC's have had a slow month interms of new AAA quality games arriving for your respected platform. While January got off to a slow start, it quickly recovered to bring us high quality tittles through digital distribution. Plenty of great downloadable arcade tittles were made available through XBLA, PSN and Steam, giving us many hidden gems on the digital marketplace. After selling 1 billion copies, four map packs and yet another Call of Duty tittle. Activision looks to return to Vietnam. It has been a year since Activision and Treyarch released Call of Duty Black Ops. Activision recently purchased blackops2.com, hinting that a sequel could be in development.
