Erin Burnett ‘Annoyed’ By RNC Attack Ad, Calls Upon Both Sides To End Talk Of ‘War On Women’

Erin Burnett took a whack at the Republican National Committee’s new ad lambasting Democrats for conducting a so-called “war on women”, saying the clip “annoyed her” on Monday night’s OutFront on CNN. “To be honest, at first, I was amused I was included,” Burnett acknowledged. “Then I was annoyed because I don’t agree the Democrats are in a war on women. Two influential and big money donors, no need to name them again, have recently used vile words to describe women. One of them made the bad decision to elaborate in a disgusting manner. The fact is neither party came out hard enough when the offender was one of its own. Now to say an entire party is at war with women? This is all politics!”

Burnett’s interview with Obama chief campaign strategist David Axelrod was showcased in the attack ad, and was edited showing the CNN anchor grilling him over Maher’s use of the c-word.

“Frankly, we’ve seen many references to a ‘war on women’ from Dems and GOP sympathizers. But both sides need to be honest that the words used like the s-word and the c-word aren’t acceptable. Not by someone who is a pundit, not by an entertainer, not by a coworker, not by anyone. There isn’t any defending it. this isn’t political. This should be personal for everyone. If you’re a woman, you get it because you deal with sexism in its mundane and offensive forms all the time. And if you’re a man, you have women in your life who needs respect and don’t want to hear those words used to describe them.”

Burnett said both sides were tried to place the blame on each other. harkened back to her father’s run for Congress in 1969, where he had adopted the slogan of “let’s end politics as usual.”

“Unfortunately, that still holds true today,” Burnett observed. “So let’s end this talk of a war on women and name-calling and instead have substantive conversations on the real issues like women’s pay and reproductive rights.”

Dems fired the first shot in the war when Stephanopoulous asked the contraception question out of the blue at a debate.

A reelction tactic is all it is. But, Obama and his advisors Bill Maher, Louie C.K, Larry Flynt and Cee Lo Green continue the Democrat War on Decency in America.

Does that annoy you, little lady ?

So, a question started the Republican War on Women? No, I don’t think so, Big Petty. But, if you have to blame any one given person, might I suggest the Republican Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia trying to rouse the rabble in the southern parts of Virginia as a bulwark against the northern counties which are increasingly well-educated, increasingly moderate and increasingly Democratic. Therein lies the perpetrator you seem so desperately to need.
