BOSTON – THQ and Kaos Studios were on hand at PAX East to give convention attendees an early playable look at Homefront before the March 15 launch of the much-anticipated PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title. The first-person shooter has been one of the key new franchises for THQ, which staged a rally at GDC 2011 at Yerba Buena Gardens. At last year’s E3, THQ offered free parking in a Korean-occupied lot across the street from the Staples Center. The developer talks about the new game in this exclusive video interview.

BOSTON – Epic Games and Microsoft were on hand at PAX East 2011 to allow attendees get an early taste of the new Gears of War 3 multiplayer experience. For the rest of the gamers out there who didn’t attend the convention, multiplayer beta kicks off in April. Fans can jump back in the action with Delta Squad by pre-ordering any of the three Gears of War 3 editions (Standard, Limited or Epic) at Gamestop and gain access to three weeks of multiplayer beta action on Xbox LIVE, beginning April 25. BOSTON – Electronic Arts was on hand at PAX East 2011 to offer convention attendees a first taste of the new Battlefield 3 game on the PC, PlayStation 3 and PC. The single-player campaign demo was shown at the booth. To encourage gamers to pick up the fall shooter, EA and developer DICE are offering a massive pre-order incentive for the game. BOSTON -- Wizards of the Coast today announced the Magic: The Gathering 2012 product line-up featuring the Magic: The Gathering 2012 Core Set for the paper trading card game (TCG). Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 will ship this summer on Xbox LIVE  Arcade, PC/Steam and PlayStation Network this summer. These new games were on display at PAX East in Boston this weekend.
