While Drew Brees and the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints were at the White House, EA Sports celebrated the launch of the 22nd edition Madden with a Mardi Gras-themed event in New Orleans, entitled Madden Gras. As part of the event, EA SPORTS Orlando-based Tiburon studio, which develops the game, will make a $100,000 donation to the National Wildlife Federation to assist in the Gulf Coast oil spill relief and wetlands restoration efforts. Electronic Arts has enlisted Real Madrid midfielder Kaka for the cover of EA SPORTS FIFA Soccer 11. The 28-year-old Brazilian soccer hero will be the center-piece of global advertising, marketing and promotional campaigns for the most popular sports videogame in the world.  Kaka is part of an iconic group of 17 stars who will adorn FIFA Soccer 11 worldwide.  Kaka will be accompanied by stars from other teams in other countries in territory specific packaging when FIFA Soccer 11 is available in stores September 28 in North America and October 1 in Europe and Asia.

Electronic Arts announced that all new copies of NBA ELITE 11 will include a one-time download code that will enable users to access three modes of NBA JAM – Play Now, Classic Campaign and Online. Already set to revolutionize the way basketball simulation games are played with new Hands-On Control, the inclusion of the NBA JAM modes will add a bonus to NBA ELITE 11, which ships for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 5, 2010. The art style, featuring a highly-stylized, three-panel, iconic image of Jordan, represents a departure from previous NBA 2K titles to reflect the significance of having the greatest player of all time grace the cover.
