- National Transgender Library & Archive (special collection, University of Michigan Library)
Believed to be the world's largest catalogued collection of trans-related materials. Includes books, magazines, films, videotapes, journals and newspaper articles, unpublished papers, photographs, artwork, letters, personal papers, memorabilia, and ephemera.
- Out on the Shelves (The LGTB Centre, now called Qmunity, Vancouver)
One of the largest LGTB community libraries in Canada. Collection includes almost 5000 titles -- books, magazines, newspapers, videos, audiotapes, and a clippings file. The library is open to the general public; to take items out, Centre membership is required. Note: OOS is not in a wheelchair-accessible location.
