Really! I swear I have a good reason for not updating the site
for two and a half years! REALLY!
Say hello to Michikinaquah (Little
Turtle).
So you see, something had to give. I couldn't
ignore him, I couldn't quit riding, so I quit updating the web
site. Sorry.
I have his first bike picked out already.
Specialized Hot Rock. Course we should wait until he can stand
on his own. Some whacky doctor idea. I say strap him in
and off the side of the mountain! He looks tough doesn't
he? And loud too!
And in case your were wondering... Yes that means
Agnes and I went out and got ourselves married. Back in Kansas
in 2001. I'll have to scan in some pictures.
Oh yeah, we went to Moab (along with the rest of the
Southwestern US, sans Cal) on the honeymoon. Guess what.
The Poison Spider bike shop SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! Pretentious
jag-offs. Go to Mountain Sports about two blocks away.
Great store with cool folks.

And now the traumatizing news:
EEEEEEEEEK! Roadbike!
Yes I broke down and got one. Agnes took a position up north
so I moved into temporary lodgings until I move up with her and
Mishi (cute baby name - huh?) next year. In the mean time my
commute went from a leisurely 5.4 miles to a deathmarch 18.3
miles. I tried it on the mountainbikes but I was dying out
there, man. I just got it this past Monday (Aug 4). My
best time so far - 1 hour 6 minutes, including stop lights.
But at least it isn't a completely geeky Litespeed titanium with
full Dura-ace like someone's I could mention. Cou--Agnes--gh.
To be fair I talked her into getting it. Couldn't beat the
deal. Pictures of it will be up soon. But also... she
shaves her legs. Yep... roadie!
