Many experienced were little apprehensive when the inexperienced distributor of “Chingaari’ decided to release the film in many theatres in Bengaluru which were only releasing non Kannada films. But  the collections in some of the theatres which had specialised in releasing non Kannada films have given a new hope to the big budget movie makers that they can get good initials from these non Kannada screening theatres also.

For example, the film has been released in Chandrodaya in Vidyapeeta, Tirumala theatre in Agara,, Venkateshwara  theatre in K.R. Pet, where only Telugu films were released so far.  Balaji theatre in Vannarapete area which was releasing only Tamil films so far has now released “Chingaari’ to a very good response.  It is Darshan’s charismatic power of attracting even the non film crowd which has ensured a good share from these non Kannada film releasing theatres.

Balaji theatre in Vannarpete had released Prem directed “Jogayya’ earlier, but the reports are that the film is able to collect major share in two days for  “Chingaari’.   Same is the case with Parimala theatre where only Hindi films were released so far with the exception of a few Kannada films.   “The collections have been quite satisfactory and we hope a big crowd on Sunday too’ says Kannada film actor Naveen who is owning the theatre.

Chingaari may  run for one or two weeks in these non Kannada screening theatres, but nevertheless a good beginning has been made now.  The process has to be continued for hugely awaited big star films.  It is also necessary to increase the publicity quotient of  big budget films for attracting non Kannada film audience.
