A spin-off from the original Tenchi Muyo series, Tenchi Muyo GXP brings us the same great anime that we know and love. Introducing a new character to the scene, Seina Yamada, GXP ventures into new Tenchi territory while maintaining a few familiar faces as well.

Meet Seina Yamada, just an average teenage kid learning about life. There's just one thing about Seina - he has bad luck that just won't quit. But falls, scrapes and a few bumps on the head are the least of Seina's problems. After almost being killed by a Galaxy Police spaceship, he is tricked into signing up with the Galaxy Policy Academy and wakes up to find himself on board the ship and headed to the academy. But Seina's bad luck signed up too, for the ship is soon attacked by some nasty space pirates. After a last-minute rescue by a GP flag ship, Seina is suddenly - and mistakenly - deemed a hero, making the powers that be at the Academy want him even more. When he arrives at the Academy, Seina discovers the love of his life, Kiriko is an inspector for the Galaxy Police. So while those that know Seina plead with him not to join, Seina thinks he's finally found a place he can be happy.
