The Fates shine on young archaeologist Syaoran and his life-long love Princess Sakura. As the moon hovers silently above the kingdom, a beautiful and otherworldly sound fills the air, drawing Sakura to the ancient ruins. Sakura's latent powers stir, awakening an ability to cross dimensions. But the process is interrupted by unseen forces who conspire to claim the magic as their own.

Sakura's soul is sent adrift across the Universe, each memory a feather dancing through the stars and Syaoran will make great sacrifices to track down the remnants of her soul. With fellow travelers Kurogane and Fai, a warrior and a wizard, an epic quest begins.

This is Tsubasa (Japanese for "wing"), one of the latest new anime series from FUNimation and the genius of CLAMP. Tsubasa is the story of young Syaoran and the love of his life, Princess Sakura. The lovely princess has the ability to move between different dimensions but this time, some evil forces are at work. They interfere and Sakura's soul is scattered, each piece of her drifting through the Universe. To save his love, Syaoran volunteers to gather her memories and restore her soul. In fact, he loves her so much, he's willing to sacrifice her memory of her love for him in order to bring her back.

Based on CLAMP's best-selling manga, Tsubasa is a new twist on old favorites. Using beloved characters from other CLAMP masterpieces - Card Captor Sakura, Chobits, Tokyo Babylon, Clover, etc)- this sci-fi love story creates an entirely alternate Universe for them. The names are the same, but the story line has changed. One thing I'm sure of though, is that you're going to love Tsubasa!

Tsubasa hits your favorite DVD shelves on May 22. In the meantime, you can check the character profiles and other Tsubasa goodies at the official website.
