Celtic Manor’s Twenty Ten Course has been added to the roster of championship golf courses on World Golf Tour. The company has also launched a virtual Celtic Manor tournament at www.wgt.com/celticmanor with a grand prize golf trip to Celtic Manor in South Wales, UK. Working closely with Celtic Manor, World Golf Tour has recreated The Twenty Ten course online in virtual reality using stunning HD photography and technology, enabling anyone to experience the new course built specifically to host this year’s Ryder Cup.

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America (MDEA) announced the launch of its nationwide 3D Experience Tour, which will introduce its lineup of theater-like immersive 3D DLP Home Cinema Televisions to U.S. consumers. The tour packs Mitsubishi’s latest and greatest 3D TV technology into Mitsubishi’s Mobile Marketing Showroom, a 995 sq. ft. 18-wheeled home theater experience that gives viewers across the country the chance to experience the industry’s largest and broadest lineup of 60-inch plus large-screen 3D-capable TVs available today.

 COLOGNE -- Over 1,500 game professionals representing more than 45 different countries congregated at the Cologne Congress Center East in Cologne, Germany for three days of learning, networking, and inspiration at Game Developers Conference Europe 2010 (GDC Europe). Thanks to a strong lineup of speakers, ranging from famed game developer Warren Spector of Disney’s Junction Point, to Hermen Hulst of Guerilla Games, the show presented an esteemed selection of 170 European and international speakers, a total of 40 exhibitors and sponsors and 275 media representatives covering game development on PC, social networking sites, consoles and mobile platforms. GDC Europe returns to Cologne, Germany on August 15-17, 2011.

A virtual farm attracting up to 83 million aspiring farmers monthly has video game developers scrambling to find ways to plough the booming popularity of games on social networks. Sites like Facebook, which has an estimated 400 million users, and MySpace, with about 100 million users, are driving a social gaming craze that was in the spotlight at this month's 2010 Game Developers Conference (GDC).

Fans in North America have made the latest FINAL FANTASY game another hit and one of the big games of 2010. Square Enix announced that FINAL FANTASY XIII has recorded the largest first-week sales in franchise history. Launched on March 9, 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, FINAL FANTASY XIII has sold more than one million units in North America over the first five days. Sony has benefited with over 60% of these sales coming on its PS3 console. Square Enix also announced that FINAL FANTASY XIV is coming to a global audience later this year, serving up a double dose of adventure for North American audiences. The United States Golf Association (USGA) has entered into a long-term relationship with online high-definition golf destination World Golf Tour (WGT), putting golf on the forefront of technology and marketing innovation in the sports industry. The real Tiger Woods emerges from his tabloid saga and returns to golf at The Masters in April. But Electronic Arts used its Season Opener event at GDC 2010 to show off a full line-up of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 games across consoles, PC and mobile phones. Gamers got to see Tiger in action virtually as a prelude to his much-anticipated real-world return to the green. EA Sports used the event to showcase new features in the games.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Hardcore Computer delivered breakthrough performance at GDC 2010 with the launch of Reactor X, based on the new Intel Core i7-980X six-core processor. As with its original product, Reactor, which was launched last year, Reactor X was developed for hardcore computer users such as gamers, graphic artists, audiophiles, industrial designers, engineers, medical imaging technicians and military technologists. Reactor X is designed for performance and quality with many patented technologies and innovations.

SAN FRANCISCO -- WHA Entertainment was on hand at GDC 2010 to show off its new Kick-Ass videogame based on the Lionsgate Entertainment movie, which is based on the cult comic book hit from the writers of Wanted (another comic book-turned movie). Kick-Ass will be released for the PlayStation Network and iPhone April 15th. Randall Batinkoff, who stars in the movie alongside Nicolas Cage, is a producer on the videogame and was on hand at the St. Regis Hotel to demo the game.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, showed media behind closed doors at the St. Regis Hotel during GDC 2010 a new third-person perspective Unreal Engine 3 game from inXile Entertainment. Bethesda Softworks will publish Hunted: The Demon’s Forge for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

SAN FRANCISCO -- UBM TechWeb Game Network's 2010 Game Developers Conference (GDC 2010), the world's largest industry-only event dedicated to the advancement of interactive entertainment, has announced an all-time record of 18,250 game industry professionals attending San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center for the March 9th-13th event. Surpassing last year's total of 17,000 attendees, the event brought together experienced game developers, publishers, deal makers, industry aspirants and working press for more than 400 lectures, panels, summits, tutorials and roundtable discussions.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Spawn Labs, the developer of the first peer-to-peer real-time video processing cloud, previewed its new Slingbox-style Spawn HD-720 remote PC gaming product at GDC 2010. With the latest updates to its software, Spawn Labs also has reduced the end-to-end latency of remote gaming sessions to just 60 milliseconds.
