Comic-Con 2011 packed plenty of little surprises within its halls, including several new comic book enterprises, plenty of cool merchandise, and a few celeb signings we didn't see coming.  But we'll be honest -- nothing could've prepared us for Abobo's Big Adventure, an 8-bit game that will soon be released for Flash play (no charge) over at AbobosBigAdventure.com.

Actress Jamie Chung is part of the all-star cast that’s voicing Activision’s newest X-Men video game. Chung plays mutant Aimi Yoshidi in the new game from Silicon Knights. The actress, who most recently was seen in The Hangover Part II, talks about her work in the video game in the video below.

Steven Spielberg made his first trek to San Diego for Comic-Con this year. He was joined on a panel for The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of the Unicorn by producer Peter Jackson, who flew in from the set of The Hobbit. Based on a popular European comic book franchise, the first of three TinTin movies will hit theaters this Christmas. There’s also a new video game from Ubisoft that will be out this fall in tandem with the live action/computer-generated film. Jackson and Spielberg talk about the new 3D movie in the video below.

Actress Ashley Eckstein, who’s married to former MLB star David Eckstein, has been keeping busy in the video game space. The actress voices Ahsoka Tano in Cartoon Networks’ hit computer animated TV series, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” She’s also brought that character to life in a slew of Clone Wars video games, including LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Hero. Most recently, she can be heard in Sony Online Entertainment’s Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures MMO and the upcoming Bioware Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO.
