He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Gamerlive.TV and is also a freelance game columnist for Reuters and writes for outlets like Playboy Magazine, GamePro Magazine, Official PlayStation Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, DasGamer.com, AOL Games, and Yahoo! Games. John also serves as the video game expert for NBC in Washington D.C. John was named one of the Top 50 Game Journalists in the world by Next-Gen.biz in 2007.

 

Rex Wong

Rex Wong has been in the computer, Internet and gaming industry for over 25 years and brings his expansive industry and technology knowledge to GamerLive covering the latest technology, trends and gadgets. Prior to GamerLive, Rex was the CEO of IPTV pioneer DAVE Networks, which powers online video social communities around brands including Disney, CBS, MGM, Endemol, Fremantle and Oxygen Networks. Rex has also been a successful Internet and IT entrepreneur and investor with his previous companies including Applied Semantics, the creators of AdSense, which was acquired by Google, Accelertech/Einux, a server manufacturer where Rex was President and Founder, Envision, a computer retail chain where he was CEO and founder and Editor-in-Chief of China Watch and China Watch Online.

 

Edgar Garcia

Edgar Garcia heads up the video news and editorial team for GamerLive. Ed is a video news veteran of over 21 years having been a Producer/Director and/or Director of Photography at numerous companies including Sun Sports (formally Sunshine Network in Florida), ESPN Sportscenter, NFL Game Day, Baseball Tonight and Outside the Lines since 1988. Ed also runs IBG, a full service video production company that has produced several videogame documentary shows for The History Channel and Starz Entertainment including “Brothers in Arms: The Untold Story of the 502nd” and “Hollywood Goes Gaming”.

Shiraz Akmal covers the gaming industry and business drawing from his experience as an acomplished veteran, entrepreneur and executive in the gaming industry having run the worldwide product development-operation teams for mega game publisher THQ and was the executive director and founding member of THQ's premier game studio, Heavy Iron.  He spearheaded growing the company's global product development capabilities including expanding THQ’s footprint into Asia. He directed a string of multi-million selling video game titles including Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and Warner’s Scooby-Doo! and was involved in programming several genre-defining products such as, You Don't Know Jack, The Netshow and the After Dark screen saver.

Jared Bernhardt has had his hand in many different areas of entertainment. He was an intern at both World Wrestling Entertainment and Pro Wrestling Illustrated, in addition to working alongside Microsoft, 20th Century Fox and Mozilla on marketing ventures. He graduated Cum Laude with a BA from Dickinson College and has his sights set on taking the world of video game journalism by storm. And he wrote his thesis on professional wrestling—I mean, how epic is that? He has composed articles for Nintendojo, The Dickinsonian, GamingRing and Crispy Gamer. 

 

 

Brett Juchniewicz

Amy is a pre-veterinary student at Cal Poly in Central California and is currently working as a dog trainer. Her hobbies include geeking out, playing the flute, reading, and watching a lot of television. Her favorite holiday is Comic Con and her favorite coffee drink is a grande non-fat caramel latte.
