T129, a joint effort of ATAK TEAM (TAI as a Prime Contractor, AgustaWestland as a Subcontractor), is the latest evolution of the A129 platform including;

• New Avionics Hardware and Weapon Systems
• New Generation Engine (LHTEC CTS 800-4A)
• New Power Transmission
• New Tail Rotor
• Several Fuselage Modifications

59 firm and 32 optional Attack/Tactical Reconnaissance helicopters will be produced and delivered to the end user starting from the second quarter of 2012. Timely and successful completion of the T129’s maiden flight of the first Turkish prototype took place on 17 August 2011 in Turkey at TAI Facilities.
T129 is a very stable platform, with excellent performance for “high and hot” conditions, 3 hour endurance, long range and all-weather day and night operations, asymmetrical weapon loading, low visual, aural and radar signature. High level of crashworthiness and ballistic tolerance enables T129 helicopter an excellent multi-role, operational capability in the most hostile of battlefield environments.

A 5 bladed rotor system, wheeled landing gear, and powerful advanced technology LHTEC CTS-800 engines are major characteristics of the T129. New Avionic package including a new generation advanced FLIR sighting system, integrated helmet mounted display, effective, precise and distinctive weapon systems, digital cockpit architecture, mission computers and advanced flight and fire control systems.
