What happens when an otaku scores a date with a beautiful girl? He goes online to enlist the help of his friends, of course!

Based on the bestseller by Hitori Nakano, Densha Otoko (translated Train Man) is the story of a computer engineer otaku who happens to meet a girl on a commuter train. After saving her from an ill fate, the girl sends him a thank you note along with a set of Hermes teacups. Our otaku doesn't know what to do, so he logs on to his favorite Internet BBS - 2ch - and asks his cyber friends. Eager to help, his friends give him plenty of advice and our hero undergoes a complete transformation as part of his efforts to get a date with "Hermess".

The story itself became a huge media sensation in Japan and was adopted in book, comic, tv and movie formats. The movie was released in Japan in 2005 and grossed over $35 million. Now VIZ is bringing Train Man to DVD.
