Xamtanga (ኃምታጛ)

Xamtanga is a Central Cushitic language spoken by about 213,000 people in Ethiopia, mainly in the North Amhara region, the Avergele District and the Lasta and Waag zones. Xamtanga is also known as Chamta, Khamtanga, Xamta, Khamir or Agawinya.

Xamtanga can be written with a version of the Ethiopic script.
