Runtrikha is an alternative alphabet for English created by David Govan, who was inspired to create the shapes of its characters after careful examination of his fallen hair in his house. This is why most of the characters look rounded and at first rather alike. This is the case, at first glance, for standard Georgian as well, though not quite the same as this script. The name for this script is derived from two words which, when separated, mean "round hair" but which for the sake of naming have been shortened and run together.
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They
are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another
in a spirit of brotherhood.
(Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
