The Delta Menurae alphabets were created over three boring afternoons in December 2006 by Charles Bellinger. They are for use in a half-developed sci-fi continuum.
The Delta Menurae system is a star system near the Ra system. It is so named because as seen from the Ra system, it is the fourth-brightest star in the Lyrebird constellation. The Delta Menurae system has a G-type sun and has a giant asteroid field stretching from the life belt to out past where Uranus' orbit would be in the Sol system. These asteroids grade from rock to ice. The system sustains a sizeable mining colony, settled in 2487. Charles is not sure how the new alphabets came into being, but they were there by 2590. They are used to write Nessusian, an offshoot of English, and can be used to write English as well.
