The Square Alphabet for English was invented by Christopher Yale Tang (唐泰川) during a boring politics lesson in 2002. He had been wanting to create a secret writing system for quite a while and just started doodling. The name of the script comes from Christopher's English name and it can be used to write English, French and almost all Latin-alphabet-based languages. Christopher and a number of his friends use Christish to write letters and messages to each other.
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They
are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another
in a spirit of brotherhood.
(Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
Christopher found that some of his friends were struggling with English and French, so adapted Christish to write Chinese. The Chinese version is known as Tangish - the name comes from his Chinese surname (唐).
人人生而自由,在尊严和权利上一律平等。他们赋有理性和良心,并应以兄弟关系的精神互相对待。
All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They
are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another
in a spirit of brotherhood.

The Taichuan alphabet is another alternative alphabet for Chinese invented by Christopher Yale Tang in 2002. It is based on Tangish, but is more rounded and with fewer letters. The name comes from Christopher's Chinese given name (泰川).
