Cuban judokas
dominate Arlon tournament
CUBA'S women's Judo team dominated
the Open Tournament in Arlon, Belgium, winning four
gold medals, one silver and one bronze, competing
with 249 athletes from 19 countries.
The championship titles were taken by Yurisleidis
Lupetey, in the 57-kilo category, Onix Cortés (70),
Yalennis Castillo (78) and Idalis Ortiz (+78), while
the silver and bronze were won respectively by
Dayaris Mestre (48) and Yanet Bermoy (52).
Cuban Judo's upcoming commitments include the Paris
Grand Slam, the Budapest World Cup, the Dusseldorf
Gran Prix and the World Cup competition in Varsovia,
all in the months of February and March.
